Additional U.S. Troops Being Sent to Syria

President Obama announced on Sunday that 250 additional U.S. special forces will be deployed to Syria. These troops are being sent to support local Syrian, Iraqi, and other troops, through training and intelligence gathering, in the fight against ISIS.

Man Taken Into Custody, White House Briefly on Lockdown Tuesday Afternoon

The lockdown only lasted briefly and has since been lifted. No details have been revealed as of this time.

New York and California Sign $15 Minimum Wage Into Law

California and New York have jumped on the $15/hour minimum wage bandwagon and signed new laws to this effect. The law signed by Governor Brown will enforce gradual increases each year until reaching $15 in 2022. New York governor Andrew Cuomo signed into law the bill that would raise the minimum wage to $15 by 2018.
