Car Bombings in Turkey Blamed on Kurdish Militants

Turkish officials are blaming Kurdish militants for two separate car bombs – one in Istanbul that killed 11 people, and another in southeast Turkey that killed 5. The Kurdish militants are likely members of the separatist militant organization the PKK. The PKK has been active in Syrian-Turkish border regions for 30 years, and attacks in Turkey have escalated with the civil war in Syria.
