Two attacks took place in Germany in the past week, with at least one of them definitively being linked to ISIS. On Monday, a 17-year-old German migrant wielded an ax and a knife on a passenger train, injuring five people before police killed him. The suspect was apparently radicalized by ISIS since his move to Germany last year, and officials have confirmed that he is in at least one ISIS-sponsored video.
Then, on Friday, a young German-Iranian man opened fire on mall-goers in Munich. Nine people were killed before the shooter took his own life, and over a dozen still remain hospitalized, many of them children. German police have no official motive for the shooting, although many believe it is yet another ISIS-inspired lone wolf attack.
