Stabbing Attack in Minnesota Linked to ISIS

A man with links to ISIS went on a stabbing spree at a mall in St. Cloud, Minnesota, injuring nine people. Three victims are still hospitalized, one with life-threatening injuries. The suspect was shot and killed by an off-duty police officer. An ISIS news agency announced Sunday morning that the attacker was  a “soldier of the Islamic state.”

Explosion in New York Injures 29

An explosion went off in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City Saturday night, sending almost 30 people to the hospital. It is believed that the explosive device was planted behind a dumpster near the intersection of 23rd Street and 6th Avenue. All victims have been released from the hospital as of Sunday, and investigators have not discovered a motive for the attack.

Bomb Goes off In New Jersey as Marine Corps Race Passes By

A pipe-bomb type device exploded in a garbage can Saturday morning just before runners in a charity run passed by.  Investigators believe whoever left the bomb wanted to attack those participating in the Seaside Semper Five race. The device went off when nobody was around, and no injuries were reported.
