California Guardsmen Being Forced to Pay Back Bonuses

Members of the California National Guard are being forced to pay back bonuses received over ten years ago. These bonuses range from about $10,000 to $30,000. The Pentagon is pursuing claiming that these bonuses were inappropriately distributed and is therefore demanding that the money be returned. For those that refuse to pay (or are unable to), wages are being  garnished, interest is being charged, and liens are being placed.

To sign the official petition to demand that Congress address the issue (and hopefully forgive the  guardsmen of their “debts”) click here.
